About 29,000 people successfully navigated Heathcare.gov and selected an insurance policy over the weekend – November 30th and December 1st. While the numbers are still short of the pace needed to reach the administration’s target of 7 million enrollments by March 31st, it is the first positive report to come out since the marketplace opened. The report also noted that more than 1 million users logged in on Monday, December 2nd, and nearly that many on Tuesday, suggesting the revamped website can now accommodate more people without being overloaded. Medicaid sign-ups, especially in States that have expanded Medicaid coverage, are still running strong.

The government defines enrollment as an individual who has successfully signed up for a plan.
